Airbnb Principal, Strategic Finance & Analytics at Airbnb supports investment decisions for emerging businesses like Luxe and Monthly Stays. The role builds business cases, manages performance, and partners with senior leaders to accelerate growth.
Responsibilities
A seat at the table. We're advisors, not just analysts. Our work shapes real decisions, not just decks.
A steep learning curve. Small, lean teams and a focus on internal mobility means broad exposure across product and business areas.
Investment Decision Support: Build the business cases behind major investment decisions across Luxe, Monthly Stays, and Airbnb for Business. Size the opportunity, model the returns, and frame the tradeoffs so leadership can decide where to place bets and how large those bets should be
Performance Management: Own end to end performance management for the incubation portfolio, including forecasting, goal and OKR setting, and executive reporting. Build scalable reporting frameworks that connect early signals to revenue and long term value
Full Funnel Analytics: Track and analyze full funnel performance across demand and supply for each business. Identify where the funnel leaks, why, and what it is worth to fix
Unit Economics and Scalability: Establish and pressure test the unit economics of each business. Determine which parts of the model improve with scale, which do not, and what needs to be true for these businesses to become material contributors
Capital Allocation Across the Portfolio: Assess how investment is allocated across the incubation businesses relative to their potential. Recommend reallocation where returns and readiness diverge from where capital is going today
Presentations to Leadership: Synthesize complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership. Influence cross functional stakeholders to drive alignment on high impact investment and operating decisions
