Wayve The Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Wayve develops AI driver model architectures and training algorithms for Level 2 to Level 4 autonomous driving. The role involves end-to-end ownership of model lifecycle including data curation, training, evaluation, and deployment.

Responsibilities

Develop AI driver model architecture and training algorithms for L2/L3/L4 driving behaviours
Own key parts of the training model lifecycle including evaluation strategy, success metrics, and iteration planning
Mine, bucket, and curate real-world and synthetic data to teach specific driving behaviours
Run and analyse on-road and offline experiments and drive improvements through repeated training cycles

Qualification

Strong Python skillsFamiliarity with model compression

Required

Proven track record training deep learning models with end-to-end ownership
Experience shipping ML models into production with quality and safety requirements
Strong Python skills
Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks
Background in autonomous driving or large-scale product ML systems
Experience with reinforcement learning or behavioural cloning
