xAI Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance at xAI leads technicians in maintaining automotive and industrial fleet assets at AI supercompute facilities in Memphis. The role includes scheduling, vendor management, and emergency breakdown coverage.
Responsibilities
Lead technicians through daily repairs, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement projects, to increase uptime and ensure maximum asset availability across our Memphis facilities
Set the weekly plan, assign work, and triage requests from internal customers by priority and available resources.
Source third-party vendors for parts acquisition, documentation, training, and on-site repairs as needed
Be the subject matter expert for all things related to the fleet
Provide developmental leadership to technicians, facilitating training and advancement of skills
Track team utilization and the maintenance KPIs used to improve uptime
Facilitate all Title and Registration needs for the fleet
Oversee the lifecycle of all fleet assets from acquisition through disposition
Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure smooth operation of the fleet maintenance team
Qualification
High school diploma or equivalentFunctional knowledge of mechanical2+ years leading peopleASE/OEM certifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Functional knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
4+ years maintaining or repairing vehicles, fleet equipment, or industrial equipment.
2+ years leading people, including assigning work and running maintenance jobs to completion.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or completion of a related trade school
ASE/OEM certifications
Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience in a CMMS or other asset-management system
Experience managing a maintenance budget, third-party vendors, and service contracts
Ability to work independently with little direction
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing priorities environment
Ability to anticipate needs and develop innovative solutions
