Sonarsource Senior Revenue Accountant at Sonarsource ensures accuracy and compliance of worldwide revenue recognition processes. Leads monthly and quarterly accounting for complex revenue areas adhering to US GAAP.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across revenue-related areas under both US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience in SQL reporting, product configuration, revenue recognition rules, and data error resolution.
Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives that strengthen reporting quality, efficiency, scalability, and controls.
Identify and implement opportunities to use automation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions within management reporting processes.
Mentor and develop accounting team members and serve as a trusted resource across the broader finance organization.
Assist with ongoing audits and liaise with external auditors.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
6+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting, preferably in software
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness, along with proficiency in accounting software and Excel, is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site, collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is expected.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP

6+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting, preferably in software
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
