Roshalimaging Roshal Health seeks a PRN Respiratory Therapist in Oregon to perform spirometry and pulmonary function testing. The role requires independent work and occasional weekday shifts without weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform spirometry and comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs), including pre- and post-bronchodilator testing, in accordance with accepted protocols.
Administer albuterol for post-bronchodilator pulmonary function testing.
Provide clear instructions to patients on preparing for and completing pulmonary function tests, and educate patients on the proper use of respiratory equipment such as inhalers and nebulizers.
Monitor patient comfort and equipment functionality throughout testing.
Communicate effectively with the Pulmonologist and care team as needed.
Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with client’s standards.
Maintain accurate records, reports and files, as directed.
Document work processes, as required.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualification

Valid Driver’s LicenseBLS/CPR CertificationAARC Office Spirometry Certificate

Required

Experience performing spirometry testing
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Valid Driver’s License
BLS/CPR Certification
Pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screen and background check
Comfort level with spirometry and pre- and post-bronchodilator pulmonary function testing
Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, by phone and in writing

Preferred

National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)
AARC Office Spirometry Certificate
