Union Tech Maintenance Technician I at Union Tech supports high-volume, automated steel parts factory operations by executing data-driven repairs and upholding safety protocols. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to maintain defense-critical equipment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machinery in forging, machining, and material handling areas
Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines, forging presses, conveyors, and facility systems
Support basic troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Respond to equipment issues under guidance and help restore equipment to operational status
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders in CMMS systems
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and hot work protocols
Assist with equipment installation and setup under supervision
Keep maintenance work areas and tools clean and organized
Support inventory management of maintenance supplies and spare parts
Identify and report recurring equipment issues to senior technicians
Participate in training to develop technical skills across multiple systems
Perform other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent
0–2 years of maintenance or manufacturing experience preferred
Technical/vocational training preferred
