Lumbermanufactory Lumber Grader at Lumbermanufactory responsible for inspecting and grading lumber to ensure quality standards. This role includes marking lumber and collaborating with production staff on quality issues.

Responsibilities

Inspect lumber for defects like knots, splits, decay, and warp
Grade and sort lumber by size and quality using SPIB grading rules
Mark lumber with grade stamps and record grading data accurately
Work with sawyers and production staff when quality issues come up
Follow safety procedures and keep your area clean
Join our team as we modernize timber from forest to finished product.

Qualification

Able to pass a background checkSchedule and payLocation

Required

Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
Lumber grading experience or certification is a plus
Comfortable standing for long periods and handling lumber in a mill environment
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the mill
Able to pass a background check
Schedule and pay: Full-time. Multiple shifts available, including days. We'll talk through what works for you during your interview. Starting pay $16+/hr. Training and grading certification provided.
Location: On site at our mill in New Albany, Mississippi.
