Required

Hold a law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and meet the local licensing requirements to work as in-house counsel where you'll be based
At least 4 years of relevant legal experience, with exposure to technology, consumer or regulated products
Experience advising business or product teams directly, not only other lawyers
Working knowledge of at least two of: consumer protection, privacy, advertising and marketing law, technology transactions, IP, or regulated industries
Curiosity about how AI products work, and the ability to pick up technical concepts quickly
A habit of making a clear recommendation, even with incomplete information
Comfort moving between assignments as priorities change, with no job too big or too small
Clear, concise writing that non-lawyers can act on
Openness to feedback and a track record of improving quickly
Experience using AI tools in your legal work, or a strong interest in learning to do so
Empathy and a service orientation, with a real commitment to Anthropic's mission

Preferred

In-house product counsel experience, or a secondment with a product team
Experience with subscription businesses, promotions, or consumer billing
Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or regulated customers such as healthcare or financial services
Experience building playbooks, self-serve guidance or legal automation

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
