Havoc AI Electrical Technician fabricates, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for uncrewed surface vessels and subsystems. The role involves building test setups, integrating components, and maintaining shop equipment.
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Technician on our Hardware Engineering team, you’ll help fabricate, test and troubleshoot our uncrewed surface vessels and their subsystems. Your work will range from building test setups for individual components to integrating complete vehicles.
We’re looking for a versatile technician with strong skills in electrical fabrication, instrumentation and test, plus some experience with mechanical assembly. Attention to detail matters here. One week you might build several identical assemblies, the next you might create a one-off solution to a brand-new problem. You’re organized and document your work, but you can also think on your feet. You’ll learn new tools and software and work alongside engineers from several disciplines.
Build, Test & Troubleshoot: Build, test and troubleshoot electrical systems from 5V to 48V, including battery-powered components, RF devices, data acquisition systems, sensors, payloads, motors and actuators.
Problem Solving: Help develop solutions by bringing insights from your past hands-on experience.
Documentation: Document build, test and troubleshooting processes so work can be repeated and improved.
Shop & Equipment: Maintain shop equipment, tools and instrumentation. Help keep the shop organized, and set best practices for fabrication and the safe use of tools and equipment.
Sourcing: Source parts and tools to support design and build efforts.
Prototype to Production: Help move prototypes into production by simplifying and standardizing components and processes.
