xAI Sr. Mechanical Engineer at SpaceXSI designs and activates advanced data center facilities focusing on fluid and HVAC systems. Acts as subject matter expert on thermal management and related components.
Responsibilities
Responsible for owning and being the subject matter expert on fluid/HVAC components across data center builds– chillers, pumps, dry coolers, chemical treatment, water storage, building pressurization, comfort heating/ cooling, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and systems
Perform CAD modeling and design of these systems. Deconflict your design with other disciplines in three dimensions
Perform fluid analyses for pressure balance, component design allowable, and consumables determination
Coordinate with procurement, construction and other disciplines to select, apply and procure equipment to your design that meets the timeline, cost profile and performance required for the build
When designing for internal manufacturing partners, ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable; work with the production team to ensure a smooth transition to a reliable manufacturing process that has minimal design engineering sustainment engineering required
