Datadog Senior Field Marketing Manager at Datadog responsible for marketing strategy and execution for U.S. Federal and Defense business. Manages multi-channel field marketing programs aligned with sales priorities.
Responsibilities
Datadog for Government operates in a FedRAMP High-certified, AWS GovCloud (US) environment, with work underway toward DoD Impact Level 5. You will be the marketer who translates that platform and compliance story into mission language for program offices, CIOs, and the integrators who build for them.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
Set the strategy for, and execute, the integrated Federal and Defense field marketing plan — aligned to Public Sector sales priorities, target agencies and programs, and pipeline goals. You will propose the pipeline target for this segment, not just deliver against one handed to you.
Build segment-specific program tracks for Federal Civilian, Federal Systems Integrator, DoW/DoD, and Defense Industrial Base audiences, recognizing that each buys on a different cycle and responds to different proof.
Own Datadog’s presence across the federal event calendar, from large-scale defense and civilian conferences to service association events, agency industry days, virtual events, and targeted executive gatherings.
Build the program formats that move federal buyers through the funnel — executive briefings, technical workshops, roundtables, and webinars — owning Federal and Defense field marketing budget, audience strategy, target account recruitment, and follow-through.
Work with Product Marketing to shape Federal-specific messaging and content: FedRAMP High, IL5 progress, data residency, U.S.-persons operations, continuous ATO, zero trust, and the compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, CMMC, DISA STIGs) your audience is actually measured against.
Partner with Demand Generation on campaign strategy and execution. Adapt nurture tracks and email motions for a federal audience, manage lead flow and follow-up SLAs with sales, and tune programs based on funnel performance You bring the market context that makes a central campaign land with the audience, and you own stage-over-stage conversion for the segment.
Raise the bar for the wider field marketing team — mentor less experienced marketers, and bring federal market expertise back into how the broader org plans.
