Thenuclearcompany Financial Analyst role supporting financial planning, project economics, and reporting for large nuclear energy projects. Responsible for building financial models and preparing management and investor materials.
Responsibilities
We’re hiring a Financial Analyst to bring clarity and rigor to the numbers behind some of the largest and longest-horizon projects in the energy sector. You will be an early member of the Finance team, supporting financial planning, project economics, and reporting for a new company that is raising capital, developing a project pipeline, and answering to a sophisticated institutional investor.
This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who is curious about how large capital projects work and who can turn complex data into clear insights for executives, project leaders, and investors. You will work closely with The Nuclear Company and Brookfield finance teams and gain broad exposure across development, construction, and corporate finance.
Build and maintain financial models for nuclear project development, including capital costs, schedules, financing structures, and long-term returns
Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning, and track actual results against plan
Prepare monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and clear commentary on key drivers for senior leadership
Analyze project cost data, including engineering, procurement, and construction budgets, change orders, and contingency, in partnership with project teams
Prepare financial materials for owners and investors, including investment committee analyses, board updates, and capital call support
Run scenario and sensitivity analyses on key assumptions such as cost, schedule, power pricing, financing terms, and policy incentives
Support evaluation of government funding opportunities, including loan programs, grants, and tax credits
Assist with cash management, capital deployment tracking, and funding forecasts
Support month-end close and coordinate with accounting on accruals, intercompany activity, and shared-service arrangements between the JV and its parent companies
Help establish financial controls, policies, and reporting practices appropriate for a new company with institutional ownership
