Accelschools Virtual High School Math Teacher at Accelschools delivering rigorous and nurturing online instruction aligned with state standards. Responsible for student progress monitoring, differentiated instruction, and family communication.

Responsibilities

Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas
Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need
Complete course setup within the Learning Management System
Monitor student progress and provide daily feedback and grading
Track and maintain contact with each student
Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver progress reports
Review student data to inform instructional adjustments
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices
Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms
Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
Incorporate 21st century technology skills into classroom practice

Qualification

Two years’ experience teaching

Required

Current State teaching license in appropriate content area
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
Preferred two years’ experience teaching
High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
High quality written and verbal communication skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
Ability to properly manage confidential information
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
Ability to supervise students in all school settings
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
