The New York Times Senior Analytics Engineer builds and maintains data models and transformation layers for people data products at The New York Times. Ensures data quality, documentation, and access controls for sensitive data.
Responsibilities
The New York Times is rebuilding how we use people data. Instead of one-off reports and ad hoc pulls, we are building governed, reusable data tools that HR leaders, HR partners, and their counterparts use to make decisions. You will help build this layer. People data at The Times lives in several systems, each with its own definitions and history. You will turn that into a modeled, tested, documented foundation that products can be built on repeatedly. You will lead the models, transformations, and data quality behind every product this team ships. You will report to the Senior Director, People Data and Insights. You will work out of the New York office on a hybrid schedule.
