Responsibilities

p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support the accurate preparation of Roku foreign subsidiary income tax expense (both current and deferred) for local financial statement purposes
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Evaluate uncertain tax reporting positions to properly reflect the tax treatment of such items in the financial statements
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Manage the accurate reporting of Roku foreign subsidiary income tax returns, including tax credits and other incentives
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Review alternative tax positions to determine the most appropriate cost-effective filing position
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support U.S. and Roku foreign subsidiary transfer pricing compliance processes, including planning, inter-company agreements, inter-company settlements, and transfer pricing documentation
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Consider technology and process improvements to strengthen overall compliance processes
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support U.S. withholding tax processes, including research, systems and business processes, training, and year-end reporting
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Contribute to the implementation of tax planning strategies that maximize savings on a defensible basis
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Conduct tax research
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Actively participate in the review of proposed transactions to advise management on tax consequences
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support the Federal income tax integration of business acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Provide support, as needed, to the quarterly income tax provision process, including foreign income tax expense and U.S. international tax calculations

Qualification

Required

p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Develop your own knowledge and maintain your status as a trusted advisor by monitoring emerging trends, technologies, and practices
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Evaluate and respond to requests for information from government tax authorities, and participate in developing strategies to defend tax filing positions
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support the coordination and implementation of audit strategies
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Stay abreast of legal developments and industry positions to accurately evaluate options and responses to requests for information
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">BS/BA in Accounting or Tax
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">CPA, MBA, or an advanced degree with an emphasis in taxation
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Minimum of 5-6 years of directly related tax experience, at a Big 4 accounting firm, in industry, or both
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Broad technical knowledge of US and international tax laws and regulations, including U.S. withholding tax and international transfer pricing
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Strong accounting skills, including inter-company transactions and eliminations, as well as experience with statutory local accounting
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Solid GAAP Financial Accounting and ASC 740 knowledge
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Excellent business acumen with a sound understanding of the tax implications of a multi-national technology company
p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
