Delivers operational improvements, business value delivery, and site production efficiency through effective project execution. Provides technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams, ensuring integration of systems, equipment, and technologies. Delivers high‐quality technical outputs for complex projects and programs; defines and validates methods, documents results and key assumptions, ensures adherence to applicable standards and controls, and communicates technical progress, impacts and recommended mitigations to project leads and stakeholders.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver assigned infrastructure projects: Manage assigned campus development consisting of a set of buildings or systems from utilities, Spine, warehouse, laboratory, administration, cafeteria, laboratories, car park, offices and office buildings. Translate overall program or campus objectives into clearly defined package deliverables and deliver against approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Own project planning, cost, and schedule control: Develop and maintain package or building execution plans, budgets, forecasts, schedules, milestones, and performance measures. Align package plans with the integrated campus schedule, monitor commitments and progress, address variances, and provide timely, accurate reporting to the Infrastructure Project Director.
Coordinate design and technical integration: Represent assigned infrastructure scopes in design development led by Global Engineering. Consolidate campus and Operations requirements, coordinate design reviews and vendor information, and track technical decisions to closure. Integrate constructability, maintainability, local conditions, and interfaces with adjacent projects into package design.
Execute procurement and support contractor selection: Develop package procurement plans aligned with the approved portfolio strategy. Prepare scopes of work and technical requirements, coordinate bid evaluations with Procurement and technical stakeholders, assess vendor capability and delivery risk, and recommend suppliers and contractors for approval. Track critical equipment and material deliveries.
Administer contracts and control scope changes: Implement approved contracting approaches for assigned packages, supporting contract formation and administering scope, deliverables, and contractor obligations within delegated authority. Maintain change records, evaluate cost, schedule, quality, and interface impacts, and obtain required approvals before authorizing changes or commitments.
Coordinate construction execution, safety, and quality: Partner with the Construction Director and designated construction managers to coordinate package execution, resolve design and field interfaces, and monitor contractor progress and quality. Work with EHS, Quality, and Engineering to address safety, compliance, inspection, and permitting requirements; escalate unresolved issues without duplicating construction-management accountability.
Drive commissioning readiness, handover, and closeout: Coordinate with Commissioning and Start-up, Qualification, and Operations teams to establish package acceptance and turnover requirements early. Ensure construction completion, testing, qualification or verification as applicable, punch-list resolution, documentation, training support, and asset handover are completed. Close contracts and capture lessons learned to improve delivery across the portfolio.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
Preferred: Advanced degree, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or relevant engineering or project-management credentials.
