Wafer Operations, Compute role at Wafer owning sourcing, contracting, and managing GPU capacity. Ensures engineering has the right hardware at the right price and place.
Responsibilities
Source and negotiate GPU capacity across neoclouds, clouds and data centers: pricing, terms, delivery dates and SLAs.
Keep an accurate picture of the fleet: what we have, where it is, what it costs, when contracts end and how well it is utilized.
Forecast capacity with engineering and sales so new customers and new model launches never wait on hardware.
Manage provider relationships day to day: onboarding new capacity, escalating incidents and holding providers to their commitments.
Work with finance on compute economics: contract structure, commitments, hedging and cost per GPU-hour.
Build the systems and processes that keep all of this fast and reliable as the fleet grows.

You understand the hardware: GPU generations across NVIDIA and AMD, interconnect, nodes and clusters, and why they matter for inference.
You are a strong negotiator with good commercial judgment. You know what a good contract looks like and how its terms affect cost and risk.
You are highly organized and quantitative. You can keep track of a large, changing fleet and model the tradeoffs.
You move fast and follow through. Capacity decisions often happen in days, not quarters.
You work without a spec. You can turn a capacity goal into a plan and execute it.
