Syska Hennessy The Plumbing Engineer II - IV/Designer II - IV at Syska Hennessy provides technical leadership in plumbing design for commercial, institutional, and large infrastructure projects. The role includes field inspections, coordination with design teams, and preparation of technical reports and drawings.

Responsibilities

Conducts field inspections to determine existing conditions and to coordinate new work then assists Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis and other technical reports and drawings.
Coordinates with other disciplines and work in close contact with the entire design team
Creates basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer perform equipment selections, load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes
Master’s drawing organization format and company standards
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; exceptional candidates may substitute with significant years of experience
18+ months of relevant experience in the MEP industry.
Demonstrate a high-level of proficiency in design and calculation software.
Demonstrates Revit skills from mark-ups through production detailed drawings.
Possesses a basic knowledge of construction documentation.
Possesses a basic understanding of applicable building codes.
