Responsibilities
We’re seeking a hands-on Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Manager to lead and support a team of specialists in a home health environment. This manager will stay close to daily operations, monitor team performance, and respond quickly to questions and emerging issues to help the team meet its goals. The role focuses on accounts receivable (AR), helping the team move outstanding claims from follow-up to verified resolution.
Manage and support RCM specialists working across home health revenue cycle workflows.
Track attendance and monitor individual and team performance against established KPIs and daily quotas.
Review workflow boards throughout the day to spot backlogs, red flags, and specialists at risk of missing their end-of-day quotas.
Respond promptly to specialist questions while balancing real-time workflow monitoring and other team needs.
Identify process gaps and work with the team to resolve issues affecting daily performance.
Apply your home health and Homecare Homebase (HCHB) knowledge to help specialists navigate workflows and resolve operational questions.
Accounts receivable and collections
Guide specialists and team leads in prioritizing assigned commercial, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage receivables, including aged balances, payer responses, rejections, denials, and upcoming filing or appeal deadlines.
Oversee claim follow-up through resolution: verify claim status and payment, investigate collection barriers and underpayments, and guide appropriate corrections, reprocessing, reconsiderations, or appeals under payer-specific requirements.
Review and respond to escalations when a specialist cannot determine the next action; surface recurring payer, workflow, or system issues to leadership and coordinate their resolution.
Ensure claim activity, supporting evidence, next actions, and follow-up dates are documented accurately in the applicable AR workflow and HCHB.
