Reliable Robotics Electrical Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics develops automated test equipment systems and leads root cause investigations for hardware in a safety-critical aviation environment. The role involves authoring test plans and collaborating cross-functionally to improve test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of automated test equipment systems for functional, environmental qualification, and manufacturing acceptance tests
Analyze test results to identify failure modes, lead root cause investigations, and drive improvements back into designs
Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful testing campaigns
Drive continuous improvement to test system infrastructure, processes, and practices
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
2+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience in a professional environment
Experience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python) and ability to develop and maintain test software
Ability to methodically diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems

Required

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
2+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience
Experience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python)
Ability to diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems

Preferred

Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
Familiarity with formal industry test standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, or similar
Experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and processes for hardware verification
Experience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally across multiple organizations
This role provides an opportunity to own a wide variety of testing that is essential in verifying the safe and reliable operation of the next generation of avionics for unmanned aircraft systems.
This role is on-site in Mountain View, CA or Seattle, WA. Must be willing to travel 30% of the time.
