Machinacognita Software Engineer role focused on Android development, building native applications and prototypes. Collaborates with product managers and engineers to deliver client solutions and support product delivery.

Responsibilities

Build proof-of-concept prototypes and client demonstrations to win contract bids and drive new business opportunities
Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications
Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions
Monitor system performance and identify and resolve issues to improve reliability
Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and backend services
Run pilot implementations, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate client needs into innovative solutions
Travel to client destinations to facilitate product delivery and provide ongoing support and optimization

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceProficient in Java and KotlinProficient in ObjectBoxProficient in version control systemsStrong communication

1-5 years of professional software development experience
Proficient in Java and Kotlin
Proficient in ObjectBox, SQLite, or another mobile database framework
Proficient in version control systems
Proficient in relational databases and distributed storage systems
Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Able to travel to customer locations up to 25% of the time
