HP is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead teams developing and maintaining software for Poly video collaboration products across Android and Linux platforms. This role is responsible for building high-performing engineering teams, driving technical direction, ensuring software quality, and delivering critical capabilities throughout the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering leadership with practical experience in platform development, hardware/software integration, and new product introduction (NPI) programs. This leader will work closely with engineering, product management, program management, customer support, and quality teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer expectations and business objectives.
This role also serves as a key driver of customer issue management, leading cross-functional efforts to assess business impact, establish priorities, coordinate resolution activities, and ensure successful delivery of customer-focused outcomes.
Engineering Leadership
Lead and develop software engineering teams delivering solutions across Android and Linux platforms for Poly products.
Establish clear technical priorities, quality expectations, and delivery commitments while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, develop, coach, and retain engineering talent while supporting career growth and organizational capability development.
Define and execute technical strategy, evaluating technologies, frameworks, and development practices that improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Product Delivery & NPI Execution
Drive software execution across multiple product programs from concept through launch and lifecycle support.
Partner with Product Management, Program Management, Hardware Engineering, and Quality Engineering to ensure successful execution against business and product objectives.
Coordinate hardware and software dependencies, integration activities, and issue resolution to maintain alignment with product milestones and release schedules.
