The Engineering Manager's primary responsibility is their team. You will balance three key areas: recruiting and growing great engineers, supporting each person's development, and partnering with product and stakeholders to ship high-quality, high-impact work.
As the Engineering Manager, you will:
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of engineers through weekly 1:1s, career conversations, and hands-on technical guidance.
Own the roadmap and delivery for Alloy's developer-facing infrastructure — APIs, webhooks, data ingestion, and outbound data flows - ensuring reliability, scalability, and a great developer experience.
Partner closely with product, design, partnerships, and customer-facing teams to shape what gets built and why.
Drive technical strategy for the team's systems, including API design standards, event delivery guarantees, and integration patterns used by external developers.
Track and improve engineering health using DORA metrics and team-level KPIs; establish release and monitoring standards that keep quality high.
Recruit and hire strong engineers; own onboarding and ramp for new team members.
Communicate clearly across the organization — surface risks, resolve blockers, and keep stakeholders aligned on progress and trade-offs.

Below is the anticipated starting base compensation range for this role; however, pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, in-demand skills, relevant experience, and/or geography. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards in the form of stock options (ISOs) as well as a competitive total benefits package. This position has a salary range of $222,000 - $285,000.
