Watchguard The Senior Accountant at WatchGuard manages general ledger activities including month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with US GAAP. This role also involves fixed assets accounting and supporting international operations' financial processes.

Responsibilities

Assist in month-end closing of the general ledger, including preparation and recording of journal entries, preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations
Ensure that estimates, accruals, prepayments, reserves and provisions are calculated and supported with appropriate basis or backup, in accordance with US GAAP
Review trial balance and financial statements for completeness and accuracy
Ownership of fixed assets accounting for the company
Research accounting guidance and provide recommendation on accounting treatment and application
Update consolidated general ledger for transactions in overseas operations
Review financial reports produced by international bookkeepers and assist in reclaiming VAT, GST, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA & public accounting experience preferred
Work history should include 3+ years in position(s) with equivalent responsibilities and experience
Position requires a strong general accounting background, experience with month-end close and knowledge of US GAAP
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
