Roblox The Senior Software Engineer on the Core UI team designs and builds user-facing features and systems across multiple platforms including mobile, desktop, VR, and consoles. This role focuses on creating scalable, intuitive, and reliable user interfaces for Roblox's core surfaces used by hundreds of millions of users.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and own end-to-end development of user-facing features and systems across mobile, desktop, VR, and consoles.
Develop robust, extensible systems powering Roblox's core surfaces (Home, Avatar, Search, and more) used by hundreds of millions of users and creators.
Create scalable solutions for building high-quality, intuitive, and reliable user interfaces that elevate the overall product experience.
Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver cohesive, delightful user experience.

Qualification

Annual Salary Range$195

Required

4+ years of software development experience building large-scale, user-facing applications.
Strong expertise in modern frontend technologies, including frameworks like React or similar, component-based architecture, and state management patterns.
Experience delivering high-quality user experiences with attention to usability, reliability, and maintainability.
Solid understanding of software design principles and frontend architecture, with the ability to design clean APIs and well-structured systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment on technical solutions.

Preferred

Experience with Lua or React Native in a production environment.
Experience with UI performance profiling and optimization.
Experience developing applications across multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, VR, consoles).
Familiarity with C++ for understanding Roblox engine integration.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Annual Salary Range
$195,780—$295,250 USD
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
