Alten Technology Automotive PCB Design Engineer at Alten Technology USA responsible for schematic and layout design reviews and performing design failure mode and effect analysis. The role requires expertise in industrial or automotive hardware electronics design and familiarity with vehicle bus communication protocols and EMI/EMC design.

Responsibilities

Participate and lead schematic and layout design reviews
Perform Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis
Perform Circuit Simulations with LTSpice or similar tool
Support/handle more than one expertise domain
Design high complex multilayer PCB layouts
Design PCB layer stack-ups and ensure PCB to Mechanical interfaces
Apply PCB design rules
Troubleshoot vehicle bus communication protocols and EMI/EMC issues

Qualification

Bachelor of Science in ElectricalMaster Degree is a PlusFamiliar with system/component designFamiliar with vehicle busFamiliar with EMI/EMC designMaster DegreePI/SI justified experience

Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent program.
Master Degree is a Plus.
Experienced in industrial or automotive Hadware Electronics design (preferred) area (TIER1...)
Understanding with embedded electronics design constraints
Familiar with system/component design, EE architecture topologies and safety
Solid understanding of system/component design. Solid Understanding of Analog and Digital analysis of circuits.
Familiar with vehicle bus: ETH/CAN FD/LIN/LVDS communication protocols and troubleshooting tools
Familiar with EMI/EMC design, test and troubleshooting
Familiar with experience in thermal management for ECU embedded electronics
Being able to support/handle more than one expertise domain as a plus
Ability to participate and leading schematic and layout design reviews
Experience performing Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.

Preferred

Master Degree
Experience performing Worst Case Circuit Analysis
PI/SI justified experience
