Responsibilities

We are seeking a senior NNPI Control Officer (NNPICO) to build, lead, and enforce the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) Protection Program across Anduril’s Maritime business line.This is a high-authority, mission-critical role. The NNPICO acts as the primary authority responsible for ensuring full compliance with Naval Reactors, NAVSEA, and Department of the Navy security directives.This position spans both program architecture (designing compliant security plans and procedures) and active enforcement (ensuring operational and technical compliance across engineering, manufacturing, and IT environments).
Own the NNPI Protection Program: Architect, implement, and maintain the NNPI Security Plan in strict alignment with NAVSEA NN-801, OPNAVINST N9210.3, and applicable security classification guides.
Exercise Marking Authority: Serve as the designated authority for determining, applying, and verifying NNPI/NOFORN markings on all technical data, drawings, hardware, and digital files.
Enforce Access Control and Need-to-Know: Establish and manage rigorous access-control protocols. Actively grant, monitor, and revoke NNPI access based on verified citizenship, clearance, and operational necessity.
Prevent Foreign Disclosure: Enforce strict controls prohibiting the disclosure or exposure of NNPI to foreign nationals, foreign entities, or unauthorized personnel in accordance with export control laws and government directives.
Partner with Information Security and IT: Collaborate with Information Security and IT Teams to ensure digital environments, air-gapped networks, and storage media processing NNPI meet accredited federal standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-171/CMMC Level 2+).
Lead Audits and Incident Response: Serve as the primary liaison to government security officers for compliance inspections. Direct the investigation, containment, and reporting of security infractions, data spills, or unauthorized disclosures.
Drive Training and Security Culture: Develop and deliver mandatory NNPI handling and awareness training for all cleared personnel, engineers, and program managers.
