42dot Network Engineer at 42dot responsible for supporting, maintaining, and expanding U.S. network infrastructure. Collaborate with global teams to align local network with worldwide IT strategies.
Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Design: Design, implement, and scale the U.S. network infrastructure to seamlessly support the high-bandwidth and low-latency requirements of our engineering and Autonomous Driving operations.
Daily Operations & Maintenance: Proactively monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and manage local switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Global Alignment: Partner closely with global infrastructure teams, including managing cross-border communications with your Korean HQ, to ensure your local environments align with worldwide IT strategies.
Security Enforcement: Collaborate with the Security team to implement robust network security measures, manage firewalls, configure VPNs, and maintain strict access controls to protect proprietary data.
Documentation & Strategy: Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and operational runbooks while proactively planning for future hardware and capacity upgrades.

Required
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 4+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
Core Networking Expertise: Strong proficiency in routing, switching, and network protocols (DHCP, DNS , TCP/IP, VLANs, etc) using enterprise-grade hardware.
Security Operations: Solid experience configuring security policies and managing switches and firewalls
Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively across different teams and time zones.
