Acilearning Teaching Assistant at ACI Learning supports students in CompTIA certification programs by providing academic and technical assistance. The role involves monitoring progress, conducting workshops, and collaborating with instructors.
Responsibilities
You'll be the consistent, steady presence in the classroom that students rely on between instructor-led sessions. That means showing up prepared, watching for students who are falling behind, and stepping in with the right kind of support before they fall further.
Proactively engage with students to offer academic and technical support
Monitor student progress and flag concerns to the instructor
Conduct workshops, labs, and exam prep sessions
Moderate discussions and keep student questions from going unanswered
Assist with Tier 1 technical issues and escalate as needed
Review course materials with the instructor before sessions begin
Collaborate with the instructor to create supplemental activities
Cover instructor sessions when needed
Take and track daily attendance
Prepare and maintain a clean, organized classroom environment
Welcome students and help set a positive tone in every session
Qualification
At least one currentWhat We'd Like You to HavePrevious ACI Learning graduate statusTwo or more years as an instructor
Required
Completion of an ACI Learning program containing two or more CompTIA-related courses within the last two years
At least one current, active technical certification earned through those programs (ITIL excluded)
What We'd Like You to Have
Previous ACI Learning graduate status
Interest in technical training or adult education, with a goal of developing instructional skills
Desire to pursue a career path as a Technical Instructor, including willingness to participate in instructor development programs
Experience in one or more of the following: mentoring, coaching, classroom instruction, course or curriculum development, or a supervisory role
Three or more years of military experience at rank E-6 or above, or at least three years at rank E-5
Two or more years as an instructor, teacher, or coach
Availability to attend every assigned class session on time, for the full duration of the contracted course
Submission of a Weekly Activity Summary every Friday
Ability to work in a hybrid format (some onsite presence required)
