Astranis The PCBA SMT Technician at Astranis programs and supports machines assembling printed circuit board assemblies for satellites and ground equipment. This role develops reflow profiles, programs SMT machines, and supports inspection processes.

Responsibilities

Develop reflow profiles meeting peak temperature and time above liquidus requirements
Program paste printer, pick and place machine, and jet printer and verify defect-free programs
Create automated optical inspection (AOI) programs
Develop selective soldering (SLS) profiles and verify with x-ray inspection
Support wash, depanel, and x-ray inspection processes

Qualification

High school diploma or GED equivalentCan read assembly drawingsMust be onsite 5 days a weekExcellent attention to detailIPC-A-610 certificationExperience programming jet printers

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industries
Can read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers
Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments
Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop and document future activities
Must be onsite 5 days a week
Excellent attention to detail
A.S. electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering technology or equivalent technical programs
IPC-A-610 certification and experience with Class 3 and J-STD-001 Space Addendum assemblies
Experience with programming jet printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, AOI and selective soldering machines
Experience with x-ray inspection and wash processes

Preferred

A.S. electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering technology or equivalent
IPC-A-610 certification
Experience with Class 3 and J-STD-001 Space Addendum assemblies
Experience programming jet printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, AOI and selective soldering machines
Experience with x-ray inspection and wash processes
