Chaidiscovery First Marketing Hire at Chai Discovery to own brand and storytelling across platforms and events. Define where and how the company shows up to stand out to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
We are making our first marketing hire, someone to own Chai’s brand and the story we tell, with a clear thesis for what matters and how to stand out to audiences ranging from pharma executives and scientists to AI researchers and engineers. This person decides where our story shows up, online and off: which platforms, events, dinners, talks, and launches are worth doing, and which aren’t. When we show up, they make sure it’s unmistakably Chai.
This isn’t demand gen. It’s taste, judgment, and editorial instinct, applied exceptionally well. Early priorities include:
making key moments count at JPM, partner events, and the AI and science conferences where we need to stand out;
helping our founders and team turn their work into posts, talks, and essays that reach the right people;
making Chai more legible and compelling to the people we want to hire, including those with no background in biology;
putting a playbook in place so we can move faster, with rigor.

Experience building a respected technology brand
Experience as founding marketer at a high-growth startup or leading brand/creative at design-forward company
Genuine curiosity about science and ability to learn technical domains quickly
