Flai Software Engineer at Flai owns major parts of the AI-native communications platform product, shipping features weekly and building integrations for car dealerships. The role requires strong full-stack skills and working closely with customers to build practical solutions.

Responsibilities

Flai is growing quickly, and we're hiring a senior full-stack engineer to own major parts of our product. You'll work directly with the founders, ship to production every week, and build features that dealerships across the country use every day. As you learn our customers and the business, you'll help set the roadmap for your area.
Own major parts of the product: Take core features from design through launch, then keep them running well.
Build the integrations everything runs on: Connect to the systems dealers already use and make that data reliable.
Get out of the office: Join dealer calls and visit stores so you're building for how they actually work.
Ship every week: Work across the UI, APIs, and infrastructure to get changes in front of customers fast.
Help set direction: Shape the roadmap for your area as you learn the business.

Required

Strong Generalist: You're excellent on the front end or the back end, and happy to work anywhere in the stack.
Product-Minded: You know when to move fast and when to slow down, and you don't need a detailed spec to get started.
Comfortable With Customers: You'd rather hear about a problem from the person who has it than read about it in a ticket.
An Owner: You take responsibility for what you ship. You watch how it performs in production, jump in when something breaks, and keep improving it long after launch.
A Shipper: Startup or big tech, you've built something yourself and gotten it out the door.
4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong front-end skills in TypeScript, React, and Next.js
Back-end experience in Go or a similar language
Experience with Postgres
You've led projects and supported your own code in production
