life360 Senior Business Development Director originates new strategic partnerships with leading consumer technology and AI companies. This individual contributor role focuses on opening doors and closing deals to grow Life360's business.
Responsibilities
In Your First Year
Open new doors. You'll create opportunities that are yours from the start. You'll open connections with decision-makers at large partners, build relationships across their organizations, and turn initial conversations into real negotiations.
Set the direction for your partners. In your first 90 days, you’ll build a clear point of view on your partner targets: large consumer and technology companies, typically with millions of customers, in the US and in Life360’s priority international markets. Examples include device and wearable makers, financial services, and consumer apps and platforms. For each target, you’ll work out what the value is for them and for Life360, who to connect with, and which deals are worth pursuing. You’ll own that plan and keep it current.
Sign three partners and launch two. By the end of your first year, you’ll have signed strategic distribution partnerships with three key partners, with at least two live and generating monetizable MAU or paying subscribers. Those partnerships will keep growing after year one, adding monetizable members and revenue that noticeably accelerate Life360 past its company goals.
Rally both sides. You'll bring together product, engineering, marketing, legal, and finance at Life360, along with your counterparts at each partner, to move every deal forward and keep it growing after signature.

Required
These are must-haves.
You open doors yourself. You get energy from reaching out to senior people at large companies you haven’t met yet, and you keep going when the first answer is no. You can point to partnerships that started with your outreach.
You have executive relationships at the companies that matter most to us. You have working, productive connections at major technology platforms such as Meta, Google, and OpenAI, and in industries such as travel, financial services, and consumer services. You can get a serious meeting with the right leaders and turn it into a deal.
You originate and close deals yourself. You’ve started partnerships with large companies through your own outreach, negotiated them yourself, and driven them through launch to results that moved company-level member growth and revenue.
You bring people with you. You lead without authority. Product, engineering, legal, finance, and your counterparts at each partner want to work with you, because you build genuine, trusting relationships on both sides of a deal.
You work AI-native. You develop and apply AI-enabled workflows that improve how strategic partnerships are identified, evaluated, and executed.
You’ll typically have around 15 years in technology business development or strategic partnerships, with a record of originating and closing partnerships with large companies yourself, ideally in mobile consumer apps, connected devices, or consumer subscription services.
How We'll Get to Know You
Our process is built around real work. You'll walk us through a partnership you originated, from the first outreach to the results it produced. You'll show us an AI workflow or agent you use in your deal work. You'll also join a working session where you choose a large potential partner for Life360 and show us how you'd open the door, which deal you'd pursue, and how you'd get it done.
