Resurgent Industries Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer at Resurgent Industries supports design and development of electrical systems for industrial manufacturing equipment. The role includes component selection, custom PCBA design, PLC control integration, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Support the design and development of electrical systems for large-scale industrial manufacturing equipment
Evaluate, select, and specify electrical components from third-party vendors and integrate them into machine designs
Contribute to custom PCBA design including schematic capture, layout coordination, and bring-up
Develop and integrate PLC-based control systems to drive machine automation and sequencing
Troubleshoot electrical systems across hardware, firmware, and controls
Generate electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
Work alongside build technicians to support panel builds, wiring, and system bring-up
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical and controls engineers
Contribute to defining electrical engineering standards, documentation practices, and team processes

Qualification

Flexible with schedule and hoursPCB design experience in KiCad

Required

Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Relevant coursework or projects related to analog and/or digital circuit design, PLCs, or control systems
Strong fundamentals in electronics and electrical theory
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and PCB layouts
Hands-on troubleshooting ability at the bench - comfortable with a multimeter, oscilloscope, and power supply
Effective communicator and collaborator in a distributed team environment
Flexible with schedule and hours; thrives in a startup environment

Preferred

Prior internships or co-op experience working in industry
Experience at an early-stage hard tech or deep tech startup
Hands-on electronics experience in a professional or collegiate lab setting
PCB design experience in KiCad
