Protege is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer, Healthcare to own customer-facing technical engagements from initial scoping through post-engagement support.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, solution architecture, and customer partnership. The person in this seat will build custom solutions, navigate healthcare data environments, and translate customer needs into practical technical execution across Protege’s product and platform.
As Protege expands its healthcare business, customers and data partners need tailored implementation support and technical expertise in complex, regulated environments. This role is critical to accelerating customer and data partner outcomes, ensuring success across a growing portfolio of engagements, and identifying repeatable implementation patterns that can become scalable product capabilities.
This role sits at the center of a vertical that is growing extremely rapidly. You'll be managing customer and partner relationships, technical engagements, and architecture decisions at the same time. The pace is fast, the ambiguity is real, and when deals are live, availability outside standard hours is part of the job. Own healthcare customer engagements end-to-end
Lead technical work from initial scoping through implementation, data ingestion, and continued refreshes.
Become the primary technical partner for assigned healthcare data partners.
Build trusted relationships with customer engineering and technical teams.
Manage multiple concurrent healthcare engagements while maintaining quality and customer confidence.
Build custom solutions for complex customer needs
Develop and deploy integrations, data transformations, and applications that solve customer-specific challenges.
Navigate customer technical environments and adapt Protege’s platform capabilities to real-world deployment constraints.
