Powerx The P&C Test Engineer provides Protection & Controls field testing and commissioning services across the Southern U.S. This role assists with safety and compliance program development and process standardization.
Responsibilities
Field Testing and Commissioning
Perform field testing including relay protection testing, breaker testing, power transformer testing, instrument transformer testing, and control circuit verifications.
Execute end-to-end testing and ensure accuracy of relay logic and trip paths.
Project Planning & Closeout
Review scopes of work (SOW) and drawings.
Develop detailed procedures and checkout summaries.
Determine project schedules and commissioning plans.
Compile test results into professional reports and submit lessons learned.
Ensure equipment is returned or stored properly.
Collaboration & Support
Assist other departments with subject matter expertise (SME) support.
Network with peers to identify opportunities for continual improvement.
