Eikontherapeutics Scientist I, High-Throughput Biology at Eikon Therapeutics to design, execute, and analyze live-cell imaging-based assays for drug discovery using proprietary super-resolution microscopy. Collaborate with computational biologists and software engineers to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and analyze robust and reproducible experiments to optimize, validate, and scale up live-cell imaging-based assays for high-throughput screening using Eikon’s proprietary super-resolution microscopy platform.
Collaborate with computational biologists and software engineers to apply state-of-the-art computational and statistical methods including machine-learning to analyze large datasets.
Summarize and deliver timely, high-quality and actionable data to drive project team decisions across drug discovery portfolios.
Exercise good scientific judgment and provide data-driven recommendations to project teams.
Maintain organized and comprehensive electronic records of experiments, results, and protocols in adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the High-Throughput Biology Operations Team to transfer optimized processes into productionized operations workflows with well-documented standard operating procedures.
Collaborate and communicate across a diverse team of biologists, chemists, and engineers.
Contribute to the growth and training of junior scientists.

You are creative, data-driven, and skilled at problem solving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment. You are conscientious, detail-oriented, and organized, and are committed to delivering high-quality and actionable data in a timely manner. You are an effective communicator and teammate who is eager to learn and collaborate with people from diverse scientific backgrounds.
Ph.D. or Master’s plus 10 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of relevant experience in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
Proficiency in mammalian cell culture with sterile technique.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment relevant to molecular and cellular biological research.
Demonstrated experience in systematic optimization and validation of biological assays.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with novel assay technologies.
Working experience in quantitative fluorescence microscopy and/or super-resolution microscopy.
Working experience with relevant quantitative and/or statistical analysis using common software tools (e.g., Microsoft Suite, GraphPad Prism, etc.).
Working experience with one or more high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB or R) to perform large dataset analysis and visualization.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey scientific concepts effectively.
Collaborative mindset with the capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Proactive and adaptable to evolving research priorities and challenges.
