Lucidmotors Sr. Design Engineer, Wire Harness at Lucidmotors designs and maintains wire harnesses for electric vehicles, collaborating with hardware and mechanical teams. The role requires 5+ years automotive experience and expertise in harness 2D design.

Responsibilities

Work with hardware engineering teams and suppliers to obtain harness relevant data
Create and maintain 2D Drawings
Select wire to terminal crimp combination
Work with schematic and mechanical team to develop harness portioning based on best practices and to ease
general assembly process
Ensure DT is translated to Schematics and 2D drawing
Work with mechanical engineering teams on harness drawings, solving package issues and finalizing connector
Maintain component library (terminals, connectors, cables, wires, etc.)
Merge harness schematics with 3D designs into a consistent data set that we submit to harness manufacturers
Implement and conduct data quality checks
Work with Schematic engineers to configure harness variants for multiple programs and vehicle variants and a
variety of different test bench designs
