Anduril Industries Senior Scientist supports development of proprietary metal-powder fuel formulation through chemical and materials research and development. This role involves conducting experimental research, collaborating with teams, analyzing data, and supporting project management.

Responsibilities

Conduct experimental research under the guidance of a senior principal scientist.
Collaborate with a multi-specialized team.
Analyze data & plan experiments & make brief technical presentations.
Support multi-threaded project management.

Qualification

Master’s degree in chemical

Required

Master’s degree in chemical, materials science, or metallurgical engineering, chemistry, or related fields.
Fundamental knowledge of material and chemical sciences.
Experience in team-oriented project execution.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Eligibility to work on-site in West Lafayette, IN.

Preferred

Experience with various materials types and processing techniques (metals, ceramics, polymers, nanomaterials).
Experience with air-sensitive chemistries, materials and techniques.
Experience with thin films and surface chemistry.
Experience with team project leadership & management.
Well-developed soft skills for technical project collaboration.
Experience with materials characterization techniques and interpretation (ICP, gravimetric analysis, microscopy, DSC, spectrometry, etc.).
Experience with propellant or energetic materials.
Experience in the aerospace and defense industries.
