Genscript The Shipping Specialist at GenScript is responsible for handling shipping of customer-provided, purchased, and internal materials efficiently and in compliance with company policies. The role is onsite in Piscataway, NJ, and involves coordination with warehouse staff and maintaining accurate shipping records.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and capable Shipping Specialist to support in efficiently handle the shipping of customer-provided materials, purchased materials, and internal shipping requests.
This role is based fully onsite in Piscataway, NJ and pays approximately $24 - $25 per hour, based on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch.
Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly packaged, labelled, and prepared for dispatch in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage the physical handling of items, ensuring safe and secure packaging of products.
Prepares and verify shipping documents while maintaining accurate records.
Collaborate with internal teams to address shipping-related issues.
Inspect shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as assigned.
Performs other duties as required based on business needs.

Required

Education: Minimum high school diploma, an associate’s or higher degree in supply chain management or a relevant field is preferred
Skills and Experience:
Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Strong time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with personal at multiple levels within the organization.
A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and meet customers and management expectations.
Physical Requirement: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
