Senior Electrical Engineer, Facilities Management High-Voltage Electrical Infrastructure

Required

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing, utility, or large commercial power-distribution systems.
• Demonstrated professional experience with high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical power distribution systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protective relays, and grounding systems.
• Project-management experience involving electrical infrastructure design, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience reviewing or performing short-circuit, protective-device coordination, load-flow, and arc-flash/incident-energy studies.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA electrical-safety requirements, and IEEE 1584.
• Knowledge of South Carolina building and electrical codes and applicable facility standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and maintain electrical one-line diagrams, protective-device settings, electrical specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Experience planning and coordinating electrical outages and infrastructure construction.
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple technical projects and priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey electrical risks to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
