Nationallifeinsurancecompany Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis at National Life Group is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for Life and Annuity products. The role includes cost benefit analysis and improving financial processes using technology tools.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly detailed expense analysis and timely reporting
Provide recommendations and pro-active solutions to address business needs
Leverage technology tools to automate and improve existing processes and reporting
Integrate benchmarking into analysis process to influence key business decisions
Design, report, and analyze metrics
Conduct cost benefit analysis on strategic projects
Forecast and plan for earnings and expenses
Assist with other finance related projects as needed

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in an applicable business field such as Finance, Accounting
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the insurance industry, or financial services
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, changing environment
Ability to work independently as well as participate effectively on teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass background check for securities license

Preferred

Experience with database tools like SQL, DataBricks, Microsoft Access, etc.
Working understanding of actuarial valuation requirements and techniques
Working understanding of GAAP & Statutory financial frameworks
Proven analytical prowess and problem-solving capabilities
