Astronicscorporation The TPS Engineer 2 at Astronics Test Systems develops software and hardware solutions for parametric, functional, and diagnostic testing of electronic assemblies and test equipment. The role involves requirements analysis, test design, automation, and execution.

Responsibilities

Analyze technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to determine test requirements
Design wiring harness and accessories including electrical schematics and bill of materials
Develop automated test programs to implement defined test requirements
Perform debug and troubleshooting to resolve failure conditions
Execute manual and automated tests to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability
Analyze test results and identify root causes of failures
Use revision control software for source and document data

Required

Ability to learn new skills quickly and implement that new skill in the task assigned
Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and assembly drawings
Experience with software development and writing automated test programs
Knowledge of basic electronic components and ability to determine operations based on component datasheet
Show the ability to perform analytical reasoning and problem solving with knowledge in performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective action to resolve test failures
Knowledge and ability to demonstrate the understanding and methods of RF parametric measurement principles
Programming knowledge in C#, C++, Python, or similar Object Oriented languages
Familiarity with all types of test equipment (e.g., RF spectrum analyzers, RF Generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with RF test equipment
Education/Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3+ years’ experience or equivalent background.
