Accelschools The Virtual Speech Language Pathologist provides high-quality virtual speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in Michigan. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with educational teams.

Responsibilities

Provide virtual speech-language therapy services to K-12 students
Conduct standard and non-standardized assessments and write reports
Develop strengths-based, child and family-centered treatment plans
Ensure compliance with IEP, Evaluation, and progress monitoring procedures
Participate in MET/IEP procedures and ensure evaluations meet timelines
Develop goals and objectives aligned with core standards for IEPs
Maintain accurate records of progress and report to parents
Collaborate with teachers and educational team members
Attend IEP and Evaluation meetings and provide documentation
Communicate with parents and staff regarding speech-language development and student performance
Collect ongoing data and adapt treatment based on student trends
Develop and communicate daily schedules to supervisors

Required

A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Fulfill special requirements as indicated in Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE), R 340.1796 Teachers of scholars with speech and language impairment
Michigan Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Speech-Language Pathology License
Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite, Google applications, e-mail, and internet applications; excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong content knowledge in one or more content areas
Exhibit genuine care for children and a passion for teaching
Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret student data to make sound educational decisions
Exhibit flexibility regarding decision-making, daily challenges, and job duties
Have a strong sense of integrity
Have a “team player” attitude
Ability to work in a diverse educational community setting
