Responsibilities

Work with systems engineering to understand vehicle program features and functions
Derive detailed HARA and FSRs for vehicle platforms
Drive technical content for TSRs, hardware and software requirements, and ASIL metrics
Understand safety implementation from vehicle to low-level architecture
Oversee integration validation and testing between hardware and software components
Lead integration validation and testing at vehicle level for functional safety
Maintain Safety Plan tracking safety work at vehicle, system, and component levels
Supervise engineers
Travel domestically approximately 20%

Qualification

Required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 2 years automotive engineering experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience
Experience with OEM or Tier 1 functional safety
Experience with ISO 26262 within OEM or Tier 1
Experience leading cross-functional teams with indirect reports
Knowledge of vehicle system functionality and electro/mechanical control strategy
