Distro The Retirement Benefits Manager leads a team managing multiple 401(k) MEPs, PEPs, and client-sponsored plans. This role oversees plan compliance, client support, payroll integration, and vendor coordination to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision and coaching to Retirement Benefits Specialists and Senior Retirement Benefits Specialists
Oversee team administration of retirement plans ensuring adherence to plan provisions, ERISA, and internal controls
Serve as an escalation point for complex plan questions or issues
Communicate with internal and external customers regarding 401(k) administration
Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements
Coordinate with retirement vendors to perform due diligence and resolve operational issues
Work with multiple departments to ensure integrated and timely administration of retirement plans
Lead and support mergers of acquired company MEPs/PEPs into Vensure 401(k) plans
Support annual 401(k) plan audits and Form 5500 filings
