Senior Engineering Manager, Consumer / New Verticals

• Beyond the qualifications below, you are a generalist, enabler, and problem solver who leads through engineering management. High ownership and drive are your default. When a problem falls between teams or disciplines, you help find a path forward. You pair strong customer empathy with deep technical knowledge. You translate business strategy into execution and contribute meaningfully in design reviews. You develop excellent engineers and build strong teams, but don’t shy away from opening a PR yourself.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience spanning frontend and backend systems, and 3+ years managing engineers.
• Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products and the APIs and backend systems that power them.
• Strong product judgment and a track record of partnering with business and product leaders to delivery .
• Experience leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from early definition through launch and iteration.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, service architecture, reliability, and data integrity.
• Experience owning production services with high standards for uptime, correctness, and operational readiness.
• A track record of growing engineers, developing technical l with strong ownership and accountability.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams and balance the needs of a new business line with shared company-wide capabilities.
