Responsibilities
We're on the lookout for a remote drug and alcohol counselor to join the leading digital clinic for substance addictions. As a key member of our counseling team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey to overcome substance addictions. Your main objective will be guiding members towards leading addiction-free lives! Collaborating closely with our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the rapid growth of our business, gaining invaluable firsthand experience in scaling up a successful venture.
This is a full-time, remote position with flexible working hours, open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.
Provide counseling to members on a weekly basis through text-based chat, video calls, and phone calls, to monitor their progress on their recovery journey
Onboard the users with an initial phone call and complete a multidimensional assessment to gather relevant behavioral health history and symptoms
Work within Atlas, Pelago's AI-native EHR, which automates session documentation, surfaces real-time evidence-based guidance during calls, and prepares clinical context before each session — so your time stays focused on member care, not administrative lift
Monitor the progress of members and offer therapeutic strategies on how to deal with temptations and cravings
Be supportive and encouraging to members to help them establish and sustain motivation to change their substance use
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a positive experience for all members and provide valuable feedback to the product development team
Uphold good standing with your active license(s)/certification(s)
Attend team meetings and/or case discussions as scheduled
