Coast Compliance Analyst at Coast responsible for building and running BSA/AML/OFAC programs and investigating suspicious transaction activity. Work closely with senior compliance leadership and use SQL and data sources to identify compliance gaps.
Responsibilities
We're hiring a Compliance Analyst to help build and run our BSA/AML/OFAC program. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to work close to the transaction data investigating alerts, spotting patterns, and turning findings into action while helping shape how a compliance program gets built from the ground up at a fast-moving fintech. You'll work directly with senior compliance leadership, giving you visibility and influence well beyond a typical analyst seat.
This role is a strong fit for someone who wants ownership early in their career: you'll help define the processes, not just follow them, and you'll have room to bring AI-powered tools into how the work gets done from day one.
Monitor and investigate suspicious activity
Conduct account and transaction-level reviews to identify unusual patterns and escalate suspicious activity.
Review system-generated alerts and support the drafting of Unusual Activity Reports (UARs).
Support the sanctions and AML program
Apply OFAC screening and BSA/AML controls to daily case work and escalations.
Identify and label patterns of unusual activity, including reporting to financial partners.
Track developments in BSA, AML and OFAC enforcement and guidance, and flag implications for Coast's practices.
Track KRIs/KPIs that measure the health of the AML program.
Respond to audit, partner bank, and regulatory requests.
Use SQL and internal/external data sources to spot system vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
