Methodology — NACE First-Destination Survey standards. Knowledge rate is graduates with a known first destination divided by total graduates. Career outcomes rate is employed plus continuing education plus military or service, divided by that same group plus graduates still seeking. Graduates identified as not seeking are excluded from both the numerator and the denominator of the career outcomes rate; graduates with no information are excluded from both rates’ numerators. The two rates therefore have different denominators, by definition.
